Santa Monica
Today, I went to the Santa Monica Pier and laid out on the beach for a few hours reading. Right next to there (who new) was the 3rd Street Promenade. Which I ended up driving by and being like 'wow, that name sounds familiar.' So I stopped and went shopping. The 3rd Street Promenade is basically just a large outdoor mall with a bunch of street performers. Oh, and also, there are TONS of beautiful peopls and lots of little dogs.
I also went onto the Santa Monica Pier and took a ride on the Carousel. It brought back lots of childhood memories of the Carousel in Hartford's Bushnell Park that I rode on when I was a kid. I remember trying to pick the horse that would go the highest and then spending the whole ride trying to figure out if mine was going higher than my sisters'. I was kind of hoping that this Carousel was like the one on Martha's Vineyard that will roll out rings that you try to grab, and if you get a gold one (or something like that), you get a free ride. It makes the ride even more fun, if that's even possible. But alas, it was just a normal Carousel with just the normal amount of fun.

Tuesday at My New Apartment
This weekend I bought eight peaches at a farmer's market. I could seriously eat this things like candy. So I put the peaches in the fridge at my new place. I rent a room in a house so I share a kitchen with the landlords. So I come home from work today and my peaches are on the table, out of their plastic bag. Come to find out, one of my landlords Maria had fed the dogs, and later Robert came home and tried to feed the dogs. When Robert found out that the dogs had already been fed, he decided to save the newly poured dog food for later. He went to the fridge and took my peaches out of my plastic bag and put the peaches on the table. He put the dog food in the plastic bag and put the dog food in the fridge. He didn't know they were my peaches; he thought they were his peaches. Robert felt bad, but it wasnt a big deal. Peaches don't need to be in the fridge anyway right? So I went to dinner with Robert and Maria (they wanted to treat they're new tenant, how cute). After dinner, Robert and Maria took off to go somewhere and I came home. I was unpacking some kitchen stuff and noticed that everytime I left the kitchen and came back, there would be one less peach on the table. Turns out my landlords nine-month old rotwieller had been sneaking peaches when I wasn't looking. So NOW not only did my peaches get removed from the fridge because of a critter, but that same critter actually ATE my peaches. Now there are only three left :( which im not touching because they might have dog nasties all over them.

Moving Apartments
This memorial day weekend I moved apartments. My old place was terrific, but I needed to downgrade. The new place isn't nearly as nice, but is half the cost, so now I will have LOTS more money to spend on other things everymonth. There's a place down the road teaching harp lessons...
I moved mostly on Friday; it was raining all day. Then on Saturday my boss (the best Project Manager in the whole world) came over with her boyfriend to help me move the big stuff like the bed and the bookshelf.
As far as moves go, this one wasn't that bad. The new place was only a couple miles down the road from the old place, so I was able to just do a lot of transporting in my car. I didn't even have to hire a moving van.

New Place: It'll be a while b4 I'm unpacked
