Oh and one more piece of totally unsolicited advise......anything that happens not-in-person meaning emails, profiles, text messages or even phone calls have very little to do with reality. Theres just too little information and its too easy to filter and manipulate the information given to make yourself look more attactive to a broader audience. None of it means anything until you actually meet them in person. Getting off my soap box now. Good luck and PLEASE write about it :D.

I second Match! I never tried eHarmony but I've heard lots of bad experiences. Also stay away from the freebies (i.e. yahoo, craigslist, especially craigslist!)...bad, bad, bad. [shudder] A facial picture is not enough...demand more! [shudder again]

So, I'm going to let you in on a little online dating secret (which probably gives away the fact that I've umh got an online dating past to the world at large but whatever!). In the world of online profiles, there are "right" answers.....if you do online dating long enough, you figure out how cpncoct a "successful" profile and let me tell you, that bitch be using all of the "right" answers. The trick is to sound upbeat, happy, successful and family oriented. If the guy can throw in a picture of himself cuddling with his dog or someone elses baby, I garauntee he is an online dating pro! This guy sounds like he was giving a few too many of the "right" answers to be real.....which has nothing to do with what he is going to be like in person.

Now get off eHarmonie and get on Match. You will still be rejecting lots of people and vise versa, but at least you will be rejecting them in person, over coffee, while accumulating lots a fun date horror stories. Everyone needs some good date horror stories! Ya know, when you come back from the bathroom and he is naked on your couch, or when he spends the whole date talking about his divorce 5 years ago, or he spends the whole date talking about himself non-stop then sticks you with the diner bill since "you make more money". Come on, do some Match! I want to read about it! :D
